My favorite musical is Little Shop of Horrors! My dad introduced it to me when I was younger and the movie has so many amazing actors in it that it quickly became a favorite. (Steve Martin as the Dentist... LOVE IT... and of course Bill Murray...) But anyway, Audrey II is to me a classic movie monster and when Kindred Stamps released a stamp inspired by the alien plant, I NEEDED it.
I made this card for a swap at the Kindred Stamps Retreat I just got home from! I used all KS goodies (you can see the supply list below) but a few of the items are from exclusive box sets that are no longer aviailable. But you can easily make your own brick background with a stencil, grab red enamel dots and make your own oozy stencil!
I die cut the brick background to be inspired by Mushnik's Flower Shop, stenciled the confetti background with green inks after die cutting a circle, and die cut the sentiment from yellow cardstock. I distressed the edges to match the movie title colors! Have to have more red on the card since it is a man eating plant, so I used some red enamel dots and distressed some drippy blood on the inside of the card before stamping my sentiment.
This blog post is scheduled to go live the day after I am back from the retreat, so I hope whoever gets my card in the sway loves it as much as I do! I'm definitely making more when I get home. I will take my own advice for the brick background as I don't have many sheets of this patterned paper left and have a Pops of Color in red. What do you think? Do you like horror musicals? hehe
