Continuing my 12 Days of Christmas and Day 2 is featuring one of my favorite brands: Heffy Doodle! I know I might be a little biased as I am on the Design Team, but they have such adorable stamp sets with cute critters and punny sentiments - what is not to love? Plus, they have amazing colored cardstock, patterned paper, enamel dots and sequin mixes.
For my Christmas inspiration using Heffy Doodle today, I have this merry mouse who is hiding inside of a gift and popping up to wish you a Merry Christmas! I started with die cutting my red and white cardstock using stitched rectangles. On the white cardstock, I used an oval stencil to create focal point with Scattered Straw Distress Ink. It gives a golden glow on this red and green themed card!
I die cut the Merry sentiment using an alphabet die set in both red cardstock and green patterned paper to create a drop shadow. The images are stamped on the alcohol maker friendly cardstock and colored in with Spectrum Noir and Ohuhu markers. I created a slider using the Straight Slider dies, circle die cuts and foam adhesive so the card receiver can lift up the gift top to reveal the hidden mouse!
Final touches on the card are from a sequin mix and enamel dots - I love the sparkle and each sequin mix has so many different types of sequins, gemstones and lots of colors, too! If you haven't purchased any Heffy Doodle products yet, add them to your wishlist! You can find them at Scrapbook.com and Simon Says Stamps, as well as their online shop based in the UK.
This is genius and soooo cute!!
