Continuing my 12 Days of Christmas and Day 6 is more card making essentials from Scrapbook.com - nested dies. Having basics in your die cuts such as nested squares, circles and rectangles (especially in the size you make cards in the most - like A2) helps making layering easier. Scrapbook.com has so many different nested shapes that will fit standard A2 and slimline - even some that are bigger and can be used as home decor (like bats and butterflies)!
On my card today, I have the two I reach for the most - Nested A2 Rectangles and Nested Circles. I have the second largest rectangle that I cut the floral patterned paper from and layered it on top of an A2 piece of smooth cardstock. You can't see it, but I did use the third largest rectangle to cut out the inside of the pink cardstock to create a frame since it was not going to be seen and I like to save my paper!

Then I die cut two circles from red smooth cardstock and white cardstock, layered them together and adhered them with a tape runner. The circles are popped up on top of the patterned paper along with the "JOY" sentiment. I glued my cutie bear together and added it to my card along with Pops of Color.
