It's a new release day from Simon Hurley create. with Ranger Ink and Spellbinders! I was so excited to get such a generous package from Ranger Ink and Spellbinders to play with and I used all of the new products gifted to me in four cards.
I created a floral card with the new Butterfly Kisses stamp set and coordinating dies. I stamped the flowers on watercolor color paper and used my Zig Clean Color Brush Markers color them in. I used the coordinating die - I just love that this big floral image has a die! The background was made using Moroccan Tile Background Stamp and a Large Stamping Foam. I swiped Overzealous Ink over the foam, sprayed it with water and stamped it onto paper. The final touches are the Silver Lining Lunar Paste across the background, popped up the flowers and a sentiment that is embossed in silver to match.
My second card is probably my favorite! I created a desert sunset scene using the Sedona Scene Maker and Distress Oxide Inks for the sunset and Distress Ink to splatter and create the silhouette of the cactus. I stamped the three solid cactus stamps from the Succulents Stamp Set and used the coordinating dies to cut them out. I trimmed off any extra white cardstock so it would just be around the silhouettes. Finally, I used the "HUGS" sentiment outline for my sentiment - I didn't want to block any of the sunset!
I created two A2 size cards and then wanted to experiment with making a smaller note card and a 5x7" card. The first is the smaller notecard that is perfect for a birthday card! I have stamped the Candles Background Stamp with black ink and once it dried, I used the coordinating Candles Stencils to color them in with Piggyback, Overzealous and Midnight Snack Inks. The flames were using Mustard Seed Distress Ink (I need more Simon Hurley inks). The balloons were stamped and die cut with the coordinating dies from the Birthday Basics set as well as the sentiment. The balloons and sentiment are adhered to the background with foam adhesive.
When I saw the Flowering Mandala Background Stamp, I knew I needed a big card to make sure I could really show it off! So I went with a 5x7" and stamped it with VersaMark and embossed it with clear embossing powder. Using the coordinating Flowering Mandala Stencils, I colored in the different sections with Distress Oxides. I also used the stencils to cover the mandala while I stamped the Kaleidoscope Flowers Background Stamp in Seedless Preserves to fill in the background. The sentiment is the leftover die cuts from "HUGS" and I adhered the stamped sentiment with foam adhesives. The butterflies were stamped from the Butterfly Kisses stamp set and die cut with their coordinating dies.
I was a busy butterfly this week making these card samples for inspiration and I hope you love them as much as I loved creating them. If you join me over in my Make & Take Club, I'm giving away the brand new Butterfly Kisses Stamp Set and Coordinating Dies!
