This cartoon couple makes a cute Valentine's Day card! I used Kindred Stamps Laughs Stamp Set along with some of their stencils and dies for this XOXO holiday card. I started with stamping my images and colored them in with my Ohuhu Markers. After fussy cutting them out, I created my heart background with the Heart Layers Stencil and Distress Oxide inks. Using my Distress Sprayer, I added a bit of water and patted it up with a towel. The Kindred Card Basics die set has a circle die that I used to cut it out as my focal point.
There is also a rectangle die that I cut out my white background cardstock with and stamped my sentiment with pink ink. I then glued it to red cardstock that is attached to my A2 card base. I cut out the XOXO die cut sentiment - the shadow out of some pearlescent velum and the XOXO out of white cardstock. I used my hot foil machine to add red foil to the sentiment with a solid, rectangle plate.
I added foam adhesive to my circle and XOXO sentiment (I used strips to hide it behind the letters so you could not see it behind the vellum) and adhered them to the card. I also popped up my two fandom characters so there's lots of dimension this card! Finally, I added some Pops of Color to add a little more to the background and a tiny bit more shine - the Pops I used is a pearl red.
Let me know what you think about my card in the comments! Do you like this cartoon couple, too? Have you tried the foil onto a die cut sentiment before? I learned it from Justin, but I definitely want to do it again.
