The Boho Patterned Collection is one of my favorites - I just the floral patterned paper and all of the colors are just so beautiful. I leaned into the colors for this birthday card by layering the dark blue smooth cardstock and the floral patterned paper onto my A2 card base. Before gluing the patterned paper, I dipped my finger in some Slipper When Wet Lunar Paste and swiped some gold paste along the edges. I then die cut the Happy Birthday Sentiment three times from orange smooth cardstock and the outline version from the pink gingham patterned paper.
Each layer was glued together and I added some marker colors to add some shadow to the sentiment. I then added more Slipper When Wet Lunar Paste by swiping the paste along the edges and over some of the letters. I adhered the die cut sentiment to the bottom of the card. It looks a bit off center due to the nature of the sentiment, but I think with the busy background, it's not noticeable.
The heart pocket was die cut from a peach colored cardstock and I stenciled on some daisies with a light pink for tone on tone and yellow centers, however, most of it is covered when I add the flowers and shadow stamping of "best day ever" with a dark pink. I die cut a bunch of different flowers, butterflies and leaves from different Scrapbook.com Exclusive die sets and layered them inside the heart pocket. I also added more Slipper When Wet Lunar Paste with my finger to the edges of all of the die cuts and pocket edges.
I glued down the heart pocket so it fit center to the open part of the background, above my Happy Birthday sentiment. I think this card turned out so beautifully and I just love the boho look of the flowers and colors from the paper pack.
