It's time for the next batch of lunch notes for Abigail! I used Kindred Stamps Teen Detectives for these three notecards along with some different papers from my stash. The stamp set and the paper behind my dog and hippie dude are currently retired, but they could come back some day!
All three cards are die cut using the square die from the Card Basics set and I stamped and colored my images with alcohol marker friendly ink, paper and my Ohuhu Art Markers. I used my Scan N Cut to cut around them and my sentiments are die cut with a Sentiment Strip die.
The back sides are also die cut from white cardstock with the same square and I stamped the second half of the sentiments on the back with plenty of room to sign the notes and put into Abi's lunches. Okay, here is the part where I am still learning... Hot foiling. I made the switch to the Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil System because I bought the Big Shot Switch and my old system was not going to work.
I used the new Warp Speed Hot Foil Plate with some Therm O Web Deco Foil, but I could not get clean impressions for two of my three note cards. My first note with the dog and hippie guy I think turned out really nice. But my next two just were not as clean! Please let me know any advice you have so I can make better impressions next time.
Now overall, I think they look cute and they're for my kiddo who just loves getting Kindred Stamps lunch notes so I don't think she's going to point out that the foiling is not perfect, which makes them perfect to practice with. But I really gotta step up my foiling game with cover plates! So please let me know what advice you have so I can get to foiling again.
You can see my foiling woes but overall how the lunch notes turned out in my Instagram Reels below, or you can follow me over on TikTok, too.
