A little while ago I finally splurged on getting the Penguin Palace Stencils 360°™ System! I also bought quite a few different stencils, including Christmas themed stencils. I thought they would be really great to make quick Christmas cards and I have to say, it was was pretty fun to use! In my video today, I will show you how I use the system and three different stencil patterns with Distress Oxides.
Once I was done stenciling my backgrounds, I grab some cardstock from the Christmas A2 Paper Pad from Scrapbook.com to cut out a "Merry Christmas" sentiment cover plate also from Scrapbook.com. I picked some colors that I thought would go well with the design and colors of the stenciled background. Using glue with a fine tip, I adhered the cover plate sentiment die cut to the stenciled backgrounds.
To add some sparkle, I splattered on some gold watercolor with a small paint brush as I thought the solid cardstock just needed a little something to jazz it up. Overall, it was pretty quick to make these three card fronts and I can definitely see myself making more of these quick and easy cards for Christmas!
