Anyone else late to making Easter cards this year (and really, every year for me)? I needed a few more so I made some quick-ish cards for a few more cards to send out this week! They will probably be late, but at least I got them in the mailbox. When I was thinking of what to do, I knew I wanted to use the newer Lawn Fawn Eggstraordinary Easter Stamp Set, so I used the color scheme from the latest Lawn Fawnatics Challenge! They're definitely not what I would consider traditional Easter colors, but I still think my cards turned out really cute.
I started with layering a background of All The Dots Petite Paper onto a card base and then popped up a Foursquare Backdrop: Portrait die cut from cardstock that matched the color scheme from my Your Paper Insider Box 2. My sentiment was die cut from the middle size Everyday Sentiment Banners and glued down to the middle of the solid part of the Foursquare Backdrop.
All of my images were stamped with alcohol marker friendly ink and cardstock, then colored with Ohuhu Art and COPIC Markers. I have the coordinating dies for this set, so I did LOTS of die cutting and layered my images into each of the squares in my backdrop. I did overlap my scenes a bit so it's a bit more like two windows rather than four, but I wanted it to have a bit of a comic book vibe. I hope you like this idea and you'll save this card idea for next year, haha!
