I am back with my final card using products from Simon Hurley's last release with Ranger Ink + Spellbinders. If you want to see how my stenciled background came together and a close up of my card, check out the video on this previous blog post. For my sentiment, I embossed the Hugs stamp on the same woodgrain background as my Lunar Paste background and fussy cut it out.
The floral image from the Inked Blooms stamp set is embossed in white embossing powder on watercolor cardstock. I used the Distress Watercolor Pencils to color in the image and used the coordinating die to cut it out. I actually die cut another image out of more watercolor cardstock and glued the two layers together so it looks more elevated once glued down to the background.
I also stamped the solid flowers from the same stamp in pink inks, fussy cut them out and popped them up onto the watercolored image to add more color. I trimmed down the background and adhered it to a card base with foam adhesive. I glued down the floral image and popped up the sentiment in the lower right hand corner.
Some final touches are with Pops of Color in Dusty Rose Gloss and I used my white gel pen to add in some of the texture to the solid pink flowers. I really loved the new release, especially the new Lunar Paste colors. Let me know in the comments which new color is your favorite! I think mine is going to be Rosy Cheeks. I just love anything resembling rose gold!
