Love is in the Air Balloon Card with Scrapbook.com

I have a simple card to share today to help get you to use some of your Valentine's Day stamps for a general lovey dovey themed card! When I saw the sentiment "Love is in the air" in the Love You Stamp Set, the idea to use the Stitched Balloons with this sentiment popped into my head (pun intended).

To start the card, I layered a piece of blue patterned paper from the Sherbet 6x8 Patterned Paper to an A2 card base. Using foam adhesive, I layered a piece of sunburst patterned paper from the Sunny Lane A2 Patterned Paper with foam adhesive. Both of these were cut with the Nested A2 Rectangle Dies. I also cut a piece of pink heart patterned paper from the Sherbet 6x8 Patterned Paper with the same size rectangle and used the Lawn Fawn Puffy Cloud Borders, however most of this was covered so if I could change anything, I'd use the small cloud border rather than the largest.

Using the lightest pink cardstock from the Sherbet collection, I cut the second largest balloon of the nested dies. I stamped the sentiment using a MISTI in Charming Pink VersaFine Clair Ink; my favorite ink for stamping when I'm not coloring because they have the best coverage! The bow was die cut out the darker pink cardstock from the same Sherbet Paper Pad and I glued it to where it would tie the balloon closed. I popped the balloon using more foam adhesive so that it was centered to the card base and background.

Finally, I stamped a few small hearts from the same stamp set in Candy Shop Pink on my heart filled clouds and covered them with Frozen Flurry Glitter Pops of Color. I added the Pops of Color to the edge of the clouds, the center of my bow and a few pops around my balloon on the sunburst paper. I wanted more shine on my balloon, so I covered the bow with my Pretty Pink Glitter Brush Marker.  I hope you're still having fun with your Valentine's Day stamps as we can always send a card to a loved one!
