I really intended to submit a project for the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge of Christmas in July, but with traveling last month and other deadlines... It just didn't happen. But I didn't want to let the challenge go by... So I made it a Halloween Christmas in August! It also works for last Friday's episode of Craft Roulette, too. It has lots of circles on the card, colors are inspired by the Coroner Munchkin from the Wizard of Oz, there is a toy card for the "on the road" element, and there is a bat with wings!
To start my card, I stamped all of my images and colored them in with my Ohuhu Art Honolulu Markers. I do not have the matching dies for all of the sets, so I decided to fussy cut them out instead of using my Scan N Cut (chalk it up to just feeling like fussy cutting). Using rectangle dies, I cut out an A2 panel of orange patterned paper and the next size smaller of black cardstock. I also cut out my "merry" sentiment from black sparkle cardstock and purple patterned paper from the same pack.
Since I had orange and purple in my paper, I used a green Distress Mica Stain and sprayed some of it on the black cardstock and set it aside to dry. When it was dry, I glued the A2 panel to a card base and then the black panel to the center. I glued my tree and spider directly to the card base with liquid adhesive and the rest of my images were added with foam adhesive. My sentiment was glued down with liquid adhesive, but it does stick up a bit where it overlaps with my images.
For final touches, I added some Pops of Color in two sets of three as I still wanted more green to show up on the card. I imagine this scene being a house of Halloween critters who are excited for Christmas, but are gifting each other their favorite spooky items as Halloween is really the most magical time of year!
So fun. Love all the adorable images. 🥰
