I am so excited to be celebrating the new Pretty Pink Posh release today! I am just loving these new holiday products and the Love From Afar Die Set is just absolutely beautiful. Also, I completely intended to make a video of this card, but guess who forgot to push record... and realized it when the card was already half assembled... It was me. So, sorry about that! I usually try to have a video up for the new release, but I hope I can explain it well in today's blog post.
My background is stenciled with the Winter Words stencil and Lunar Paste onto some patterned paper that looks watercolored. I love when watercoloring is already done for me! This particular brand is no longer available, but I did include an alternate in my supply list. While it was drying, I die cut my 2nd largest Eyelet Rectangle out of Kraft paper and all of the different dies from Love From Afar out of watercolor cardstock. I also die cut three small dies from Sentiment Strips to be part of my sentiment.
I used my Tim Holtz Watercolor Pencils to color all my images die cut from the watercolor cardstock except for the smallest sentiment strip which I stamped with the new Sentiment Strips: Christmas set. When everything was dry, I layered my Kraft piece with foam adhesive to the center of my stenciled background, then adhered my earth to the center of the Kraft piece. I layered on the rest of my images and popped up my doves and sentiments.
For some final touches, I added some Glitter Pops of Color to my heart and Mossy Green Confetti around my card. I think this Christmas card just turned out so dreamy and I love the colors. Let me know what you think and if you would like to see a different variation of the card in a video to make up for my blunder today!
