It's the most magical time of year! The holiday limited edition box from Kindred Stamps is here and it's seriously amazing. I just love these puppet characters and it's a holiday classic movie that we all should be watching annually. I was so excited to be able to create some sample cards for you to inspire you to get to shopping as it is a limited edition box. You can shop the new release here!
I started with stamping and coloring the images in the cards above. I wanted to get to coloring as soon as possible because I was just so excited for these characters! Once my coloring was done, I used the coordinating dies to cut them out. I created my scene on the first card by distressing my sky, adding my street building die cut (out of grey) and added some white sparkle cardstock for snow. These were layered onto a patterned paper on my card base. My setiment was stamped to the top left and I layered my characters onto the card, trying my best not cover anyone up!
My second card has my typical basic layout using the Kindred Basics Dies. I have a dark red cardstock onto my card base, layered some beautiful patterned paper to the card as well as die cut with a circle. I also die cut a smaller circle and sentiment strip out of a light cream cardstock. I added my two characters (my favorite!) and stamped sentiment below the circles.
My final card is interactive and was really fun to make! I started with trimming my patterned paper to fit on my card base and a trimmed some blue cardstock to be 3.25x4.5". I used the dies for my two ghosts to cut out of the cardstock first, then embossed my sentiment in white. Using the die cut openings in the blue cardstock as a guide, I stamped my two ghosts onto blue vellum in blue ink and embossed with clear powder. I adhered this sheet to the back of the cardstock so they show through the die cut openings.
Before adding this layer to my card base, I adhered some metallic cardstock and an EZ Light so that the card really glows when you press the EZ Light! I stamped "push" where my push button was adhered and then assembled the card together. I thought my card was missing something, so I used a white gel pen to add a design around the edges. I hope you enjoyed these cards as inspiration and let me know if you snag the limited edition box in the comments!
