Can you believe it's the last day of March? I'm bringing you some Halloween inspiration today - and even a little bit of Christmas since I was traveling during the 25th this month and I just did not get a Christmas project done before I left! It's also a month with a 31st, so we're also hopping over on Instagram for the Twiddler's Nook Spooktacular.
In today's video, I'm going to share how I made my shaker panel, ink blended white cardstock, stamped and colored my images, and finally assembling the card. Let me know what you think of the Halloween/Christmas card this month in the comments! Let me know if you have any suggestions for future Halloween cards - are there any fandoms you want to see on a future card?
I'm here with a box card using the new Sassy Box Card Dies from The Sassy Club! You know I love my box cards, and I'm so excited for this fun shape. For this card, I started with stamping my images and colored them with alcohol markers. I stamped the cloud/water details in Distress Oxide and quickly used some holographic embossing powder before the ink completely dried.
My images were fussy cut out and I did cut out some of the details in the broom and water pails. Then I started stenciling. You can watch my stenciling video down below where I used the Fantastic Mouse Stencils - I started with the hat shape with the same blue Distress Oxide and then the hat details with Lunar Paste. Along with the splatter, the subtle shine really is so magical!
I assembled the box card together after the stenciling dried and I die cut out all of my box card pieces. I added in my images and made a wave of water with the stamped images and some sparkly white cardstock. I'm not sure it totally looks like a wave from the original scene... But I think it gets the job done! Let me know what you think of my box card and check out my video.
I'm in the celebratory mood with this colorful card! I'm continuing my guest design month with Pink & Main with a cute, birthday card! I was inspired by last Friday's episode of Craft Roulette for the look, theme and colors, but let's get in to how this card was made. I started with foiling my background with a teal colored foil and then ink blended with Distress Oxides to give it fun blend from orange to purple with pink in between.
The panel was trimmed to A2 in size (4-1/4 x 5-1/2") and I used the rectangle frame die in a teal cardstock to add two rectangles onto the card background (which was adhered to a card base) with foam adhesive. I also die cut my "Hooray" sentiment out of apricot and purple cardstock, using leftover pink ink on my brush to add ink to the bottom of the word die cut.
I did the same for my banner that was cut and embossed! I added my sentiment and banner to the card with foam adhesive as well, plus added a few gems for some more shiny color. My images were stamped with a pale grey ink that was alcohol marker friendly and used my OLO markers to color them in. I left my stamps in my MISTI so I could stamp the images again in the same spot with a purple ink to give them a bold outline in a matching color!
Using the coordinating dies, I cut out the images and added them to my card with foam adhesive. I just love how sweet this card turned out and the color scheme just makes me so happy! I hope you like this card, too, and you can check out the new release by using my links below.
I'm so excited for this new release from Kindred Stamps! There is an adorable stamp set called Troopers and my daughter and I are featured in the set! I was so excited to stamp and color Abi and myself that I stamped the three images from the set and colored them in (plus one extra "Abi") with my OLO markers. I fussy cut the images out and started working on card backgrounds.
With the Leader sentiment, I knew I wanted to make a thank you card. I cut strips of colored cardstock that represent each level of the girl program that inspired this tamp set - blue, brown, purple, red, orange and yellow. I layered them onto a piece of double sided adhesive sheet and ran it through my die cutting machine with my Card Basic rectangle die. I peeled off the other side of the adhesive sheet and layered it onto a piece of green cardstock which was adhered to my card base. I popped up "Thank You" I die cut out of white cardstock along with my images and stamped my sentiment on the inside of the card.
For the second card, of course we had to bring out the cookie stencil! I wanted to make cookies that looked like the classic, minty cookie so I used a tone on tone look for my cookies on white cardstock. I die cut out my background with the Card Basic rectangle die and adhered it to a piece of dark green cardstock on my card base. I also cut out the dashed circle and popped that up onto my card base. I added my other two girls with foam adhesive as well as my sentiment in white embossing powder on brown cardstock. I stamped the sentiment on the inside to finish it off!
Make sure to check out all of the products dropped today in the new release! I'm so excited to see the thank you cards Abi will be making with these stamps in the future!
Hi, friends! I’m continuing my collection of making holiday themed box cards with Spring and Easter!
I started with die cutting the Scallop Box Card Dies out of yellow cardstock for the base pieces and smooth, white cardstock for the scalloped pieces to do some ink blending. I used the new Layered Butterfly Floral Stencils with Distress Oxides in Picked Raspberry, Saltwater Taffy, Salvaged Patina, and Squeezed Lemonade to create the design on the scalloped die cuts.
I assembled the Scallop Box Card base together and added the stenciled scalloped pieces to the panels.
Using a large piece of watercolor cardstock, I used the same Distress Oxides to ink squish and blend all the colors to give a watercolor look. I also splattered on gold watercolor for some sparkle! When it was dry, I used the Stitched Eggs Dies and Decorative Butterflies Coordinating Dies to cut out eggs and butterflies. I die cut as much as I could out of the panel, but only a used a few for today and I’ll save the rest for a future project.
For the butterflies, I also stamped the bodies from the Decorative Butterflies Stamp Set with a pink ink and used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out. I glued them to the center of the butterfly die cuts from the watercolor cardstock. I also cut the bunny feet and flower stem from the Big Easter Cupcake Dies, strips from the Sentiment Strips Dies, and flowers and leaves from the Spring Mug Additions Dies.
I glued all of the layering dies together and created a scene on the shelf piece of my box card with the eggs, butterflies and flowers. I love the softness of the eggs and bright pink of the flowers!
I stamped my sentiment from the Decorative Butterflies Stamp Set onto my die cuts and added the sentiment to the front of the box card. My little bunny feet are sticking up above the sentiment and they’re my favorite part of the box card!
Box cards have been so fun to make and I love having my Valentine, St. Patrick’s Day and now Easter box cards on my desk! I’d love to know what I should make for May - probably something for Mother’s Day? What would you like to see?!

My card features a One Light, PB Press Stamp Set, Black Perfect Sentiment Stock and World's Best Foam Tape from Pear Blossom Press and More of the Best Hugs Ever Stamps, Dies and Tree Bark Stencil from Picket Fence Studios. I just loved these hugging whales and I used the stencil as my ocean water rather than tree bark! I hope you have a fun time hopping with us - make sure to watch my video on YouTube so you can get all the details of how to hop along.
You know I love my Lunar (and Solar) Pastes! I am so excited to have the new NEON Lunar Pastes in my collection. A big thank you to Ranger Ink for sending them to me! I just had to try all of them so I grabbed some black cardstock and started playing with all of the colors with some of my favorite Simon Hurley stencils and stamps.
I embossed my sentiment and stamps for all of the cards with a white, detailed embossing powder and used coordinating dies (if had them) to cut out my images. I trimmed around my sentiments with a paper trimmer. For my images I also watercolored with the Neon Lunar Pastes by putting some of the paste on a piece of acetate and picked up color with a water brush pen.
You can check out my video down below to see how I applied each of the colors with different stencils - I'm so excited to be working with Ranger Ink for making shorts for Simon Hurley products! I hope I make him proud with my projects. Let me know down below which of the colors you like best! Mood Ring was my favorite so I ended up using it twice.
Happy 10th Birthday to Pink & Main! I'm so excited to be guest designing for them for this release so you'll be seeing Pink & Main new products for the next month. I was gifted SO MANY amazing new items (you can see an unboxing at the beginning of my video below) and I wanted to try and use lots of different items for today's project.
When I saw the Berry Cupcake stamp, I knew I wanted to create a raspberry lemonade cupcake. I colored it with my OLO markers and used it with a shaker panel for this birthday card. You can see my process of today's card down below! Make sure to also head over to Instagram because there is an amazing Instagram Hop where you can see lots of amazing inspiration and a chance to win a $50 gift card. A great way to celebrate, don't you think?!
I love how this fun, floral card turned out using Scrapbook.com Exclusives! When I saw this last Friday's episode of Craft Roulette and that we had to have plants, I knew that I wanted to use some of the new releases from SBC. I filmed my process, so you can watch down below but I started with stamping and coloring in my flower card. I did use my OLO markers to color in the images, using the Market Bloom paper pad to inspire my color choices.
There is a coordinating die set, but I do not have it yet, so I fussy cut out the flower cart. I then die cut my nested A2 rectangles for the floral paper and a piece of vellum as well as my "thank you" sentiment. I added some pretty stitching details to the bottom of my vellum rectangle and layered my card together. Of course I had to add some Pops of Color to finish off the card!
