We're having some fandom fun today with The Sassy Club today for Mother's Day! I love this basket image with the mom cat and her three kittens - the sentiments are so fun, too. I have a short video below where you can see a few of the steps, but let's talk about the card! I started with heat foiling and I used a cardstock that I do not normally use for hot foiling... and it shows. Hah! But I just needed it as the border, so it worked for this card.
I used a purple cardstock and hot pink foil with the Cutie Bow foil plate and used a nested rectangle to cut it out to have a white border from my card base. Next I stenciled just the hearts design from the Conversation Heart stencil set with Spun Sugar Distress Oxide and used a nested die to cut it out as well.
My sentiment is embossed in white on a pink cardstock that I thought matched the foil really well! I used a banner die cut that fit perfectly with the sentiment. I stamped my image with my Sassy Club Onyx Black ink and colored them in with my OLO markers. I fussy cut the image out and started assembling the card.
I adhered the panels to my card base and popped up my image and sentiment with foam adhesive. I also added a few Pops of Color in a light pink to match the stenciled hearts. While my background foil was not perfect, it looks great as a border on my card! I just love this card and those cute little kitties peeking out of the basket!
