I recently received my next Creative Team Package from Scrapbook.com and I wanted to get to playing around with some of the new dies and stencils I received! I started with adding the Silver Polka Dot Rub-Ons to a piece of white cardstock, but then I remembered I wanted to added some Salvaged Patina Oxide to the background... So I did dull the metallic a bit when adding the ink over it, but I just think they look more like snowflakes.
Next I added Astro Paste with the Geometric Snowflake Stencil and set it aside to dry. When it was dry, I trimmed it down just a little bit so I would get a thin, white border from the card base. Next I die cut a piece of patterned paper from the Holiday 6x8 Paper Pad with the Horizontal Stripes Plate, made a pattern flipping over two of the stripes and then cut it again with a Nested A2 Arch. I popped the stripes onto the center of the stenciled background with 1mm foam adhesive.
I then die cut my sentiments from two different die sets out of white and holographic cardstock. I layered the sentiments and adhered them to the card base with liquid adhesive. I trimmed off the banner dies where it went past the stenciled panel's edges. I then adhered the panel to my A2 card base. Finally I die cut my gnomes - three times from different patterned paper as well as different shades of Neutral Cardstock to get different skin tones.
After assembling the gnomes together, I added them with foam adhesive to the card and added a few white highlights for some added fun. I am not a big gnome person, but I think these guys turned out kinda cute! Let me know what you think of the card in the comments - I hope this card brings a smile to your face today!
