Happy Halloween Patterned Paper Card with Scrapbook.com

Monday, July 22, 2024

Did you snag the freebies last week for the Halloween celebration over at Scrapbook.com? There were two stamp sets you could add to your cart for free and I used them on today's card as well as the new Vintage Scripts Rub-ons in Black! It's a quick and easy card, I just wanted to make a card that featured the pattern paper and the super fun sentiment from one of the freebies.

I started with stamping the sentiment Happy Halloween stamp and the stars from Happy Pumpkin stamp set in black ink and embossed them with clear powder. I fussy cut out the stars and used a pink ink to add some distressing to the cut outs. Next I added some rub-ons to some areas on the spooky patterned paper that is A2 in size and adhered it to my card base.

Next I trimmed a piece of pattern paper with the cute little ghosts on them to 3.25x4.5" and added some black splatter. When it was dry, I adhered it to a piece of black cardstock that is just 1/8" larger on both sides so it just peeks out the sides. This was popped up onto the card base and then I popped up the sentiment and stars.

For some final touches, I added a few Black Magic Pops of Color around the card to add a little glitter and shine! I hope you like this simple card leaving the pattern paper to be the star of the card. Let me know if you snagged the freebies and what you're going to make with them in the comments!
