Astro Paste is really such a wonderful way to add shine to a card! I'm back on the Ranger Ink social media with a short video of watercoloring a pretty, sketched Christmas Tree and stenciling with ink and Astro Paste. I decided to go with traditional holiday colors (shocking, I know) and the gold really just helps make the card pop! You can follow along with how I put together this holiday card by checking out the Instagram Reels down below!
Start with stamping the Sketched Christmas image and sentiments onto watercolor cardstock with Ground Espresso Archival Ink. Color the tree with a waterbrush and Bee Sting, Breakup Blue, Fake Plant and Shooting Star inks. Use the coordinating dies or fussy cut the image and sentiments - the “May your days…” sentiment was trimmed with a paper trimmer. Adhere the sentiments to a shadow layer of red cardstock and cut around the sentiments.
Blend Fake Plant Simon Hurley create. Ink with the first layer of the Geo Circles stencils and apply Slippery When Wet Astro Paste with the second layer stencil onto a piece watercolor cardstock cut to 5 x 3-¾”. When the panel is dry, use foam adhesive to adhere to a piece red, glitter cardstock cut to 5-¼ x 4” (you can make it a frame to save on paper) and attached to an A2 (5-½ x 4-¼”) card base. Adhere the sentiments and tree to the card with thin foam adhesive.
