Die Cut Santa Christmas Card with Sizzix

Monday, December 2, 2024

Happy December! It's crazy we're in the last month of the year... It's been such a busy but amazing year! One of my favorite things was getting to know some lovely folks at Sizzix and I was gifted a few items and I used some dies and stencils on today's card. When watching Craft Roulette, when it landed on card with a belly band and an element of coat, I thought I could get away with these two parameters with adding a Santa to my card!

I started with some tissue paper from a gift as my upcycled random element on my card. I trimmed it to be slightly smaller than A2 and glued it to my card base. I used Distress Oxides that matched the red and green colors to create my stenciled background. I also added Distress Spritz to give it some subtle gold shine. I trimmed the panel down to slightly smaller than 4x5-1/4" and adhered it to the center of my card.

Next I did a bunch of die cutting out of greens, reds, black, skin tones, white and gold cardstock. The colors are inspired by a Christmas cottage! I layered my Santa with a Joy sentiment as well as my tree. For Santa, I did all of the reds first and sprayed a red Distress Spritz, then continued to layer so his red suit would be shiny as well. When my tree was assembled, I added some white splatter to give a snowy look. I attached my two die cut images to my card base with foam adhesive.

For some final touches, I stamped a sentiment from Scrapbook.com and used the coordinating die to cut it out. I also attached it to the card with foam adhesive and finally added some Pops of Color to look like ornaments on the tree. I had such a fun time putting this card together! I hope this card brings you a smile and let me know how you think I did with the parameters in the comments.
