Hello, crafting friends! Today, I’m sharing a super fun and interactive card I made featuring an adorable angler fish that actually lights up. This project was a blast to create, and it’s perfect for showcasing some fantastic supplies, including the Pear Blossom Press One Light and Trinity Stamps’ Little Light Stamp and Die Sets. I started by stamping and coloring the angler fish using my trusty OLO markers, then used the coordinating die to cut it out. I also stamped and die-cut the sentiment and interactive phrase to bring the whole design together.
For the underwater scene, I stamped Trinity Stamps’ Underwater Scene Background Stamp and heat-embossed it with Inkon3’s Arctic White Ultra Fine Embossing Powder. Using Trinity Stamps’ A-2 Foundations Stencil Set, I created a white frame and blended Salvaged Patina, Uncharted Mariner, and Black Soot Distress Oxide inks to set the underwater mood. To add extra texture, I splattered some Gansai Tambi Watercolor Graphite Colors over the background. After punching a small hole for the One Light, I adhered it to the card base and layered the stenciled panel on top using Pear Blossom Press’ foam tape. Finally, I glued the angler fish and sentiments in place, then sprinkled on some Ultramarine Sparkle Spots embellishments for a magical finishing touch. I’m so excited with how it turned out, and I hope this inspires you to create your own interactive cards!
