Hi friends, happy Fandom Friday! I’m beyond excited to share today’s crafty adventure because we’re celebrating the brand-new Freakin’ Sweet stamp set from Kindred Stamps, which just released today! This set is packed with hilarious and iconic characters and sentiments, perfect for fans of this quirky, nostalgic movie. In today’s YouTube tutorial, I walk you through the creation of a bold, poster-inspired card featuring two of the set’s fun characters, and I also made a second coordinating card with a stage scene. For my first card, I took inspiration from the movie’s classic poster. I started by stamping my characters in a black alcohol-marker-friendly ink onto white cardstock and then colored them with Olo markers. To match the movie’s vibe, I gave one character his signature blue button-up and bolo tie, while the other rocked a fan-favorite voting T-shirt. The background consists of three cardstock strips in yellow, blue, and red, ink-blended on the edges for added depth and splattered with black paint. I created a torn-paper sentiment banner, stamping “May your pockets overflow with tots” in bold black ink to complete the look. Foam adhesive gave my characters and sentiment a pop, making them stand out against the colorful backdrop!

My second card features just one of the characters but in a totally different setting – a stage! I crafted a theatrical scene using dark blue curtains, a black background, and a woodgrain inspired floor. The sentiment on the front reads, “I’d vote for you gosh,” stamped in red ink for a fun pop of color, while the inside delivers another laugh with, “Heck yeah, hope your day is freakin’ sweet.” This stamp set is packed with so many fantastic phrases, making it a must-have for fandom lovers!
