Belated Birthday Emoji Shaped Cards with Trinity Stamps - New Release!

Thursday, March 27, 2025

Hello crafty friends, and welcome back to my little corner of the internet! I'm so excited to share two super fun cards with you today, all inspired by the brand new release from Trinity Stamps. Specifically, we're diving into the Basic Emoji Builder die set - there is also an adorable companion, the Sick and Tired Emoji Builder add-on. These dies, paired with the circle shaped card base, have opened up a world of playful possibilities! In my latest YouTube video, I walk you through the entire process, from die-cutting the card bases and emoji elements to assembling these expressive little faces. I used sturdy white and vibrant yellow cardstock for the bases, and a few other colors for the emoji pieces. You'll see exactly how I used the various dies to create the eyes, mouths, and that perfect little sweat drop!

For these cards, I decided to recreate my two absolute favorite emojis: the upside-down smile and the nervous smile with the sweat drop. Using the yellow circle card base, I carefully assembled the facial features, paying close attention to the unique shapes of the eyes. The Basic Emoji Builder set makes it surprisingly easy to capture the essence of each expression. I opted for a simple, clean look, using solid cardstock pieces to build the emojis without any additional shadowing. The result is two incredibly charming cards that are perfect for a belated birthday greeting. To finish them off, I stamped a sentiment from the Simply Sentimental stamp set inside each card, using Versafine Clair Pine Cone ink.

I'm absolutely in love with how these cards turned out, and I can't wait to see what emojis you create! Don't forget to check out my YouTube video for a detailed tutorial and to join the Instagram and YouTube hop for a chance to win a $25 gift card to the Trinity Stamps shop!
