Favorite Birthday Gift Shaker Card with Scrapbook.com

Thursday, March 20, 2025

Welcome back to my craft room, friends! I'm thrilled to share my latest creation for the Oh So Inspired Collaboration Hop, where this month we're celebrating the incredible Sara Lihz from Sassy's LLC. As a huge fan of Sara's creativity, I was instantly inspired by her adorable pumpkin shaker card and decided to put my own spin on it. I opted for a festive birthday theme, crafting a present-shaped shaker window filled with vibrant sequins and clay confetti from my stash, all in fun, rainbow colors. I used beautiful patterned paper from Scrapbook.com for my die-cut elements, including a gift, bow, and mini envelopes, adding layers of dimension and color. To complete the card, I stamped "You are my favorite" and "Happy Birthday" using stamps and dies, ensuring a personalized touch.

To create this interactive shaker card, I started by die-cutting my gift shape and adhering acetate to the back for the shaker window. After stamping my sentiment on the background, I built up the shaker frame using 1/8 inch foam adhesive strips from Scrapbook.com, ensuring a secure seal. I then filled the window with my chosen embellishments before sealing it with a patterned paper backing. For added dimension, I used 1mm foam adhesive to pop up my sentiment and layered die-cut envelopes. Be sure to watch my YouTube video for a full tutorial and to see all the details come to life. And don't forget to hop along with all the other talented creators in this collaboration, linked below, as we celebrate Sara Lihz's amazing talent. You can also find Sara's original pumpkin card on her Instagram linked in the video description, too.
